NEW NRP Script Brainstorm WIP

This thread is for brainstorming purposes only, and has no guarantee of anything being accomplished from it.



I want to get a nice list going on, that shows some great ideas for new scripts. Bringing change to NRP is just what the server needs. The Campaign is a great example of that.
The server is owned by Pew, and ultimately it's up to him. There's already a thread about suggestions for new scripts, but it's been awhile so I've decided to post my own .



1) The ability to give players certain clothing.
We can already give certain weapons to players, but wouldn't it be fun to be able to give certain clothes to players? 


2) The ability to change the bots into a certain class. Example: -Change all Bots to Partizani-
This idea isn't new, and is used on a few other NW servers.  Essentially it would allow an admin to incorporated it into a RP.
 

3)Claimed General / Officer Role for Events being assigned to UIDs so no one else can get it

This one was recommended by minisiege. It's something that could end up being extremely helpful during Special Events / Campaign. It would need to be able to be turned on/off on by the Admin panel.
 

4)Admin autologin (No password required)

Eliminate the use for a password and whitelist Admins.


5) Chat commands  that allow players without mod do some special actions. (Example: A sitting animation, a pointing animation, ect.)

Obviously we've all seen this on 59th Jailbreak, and it was great! It could bring a certain new flavor to NRP. I wouldn't suggest overdoing it, by adding alot of animations, but 2-3 would be perfect. Again this is another script that should have an on/off in the Admin panel.


That's all I have for now, but will consider this WIP

A search function in the banlist.

 

A list of the item ids ingame, basically what we've now got with the maps.

 

Automatic RP setup.

 

Teleport everyone.

 

Force all units.

 

Set % of all units.

 

A "ban all" button so it's easy to pull a Harold.

A Script that's allows donators customise there skin through the game. 

 

A script that's helps us get the officers in the event there slot. 

 

A Admin ranking system so that Trial admins can't ban higher ups. ( Due to Taleworlds letting admins ban each other.)

 

A script that lets admins chat in all chat while dead to alive people rather than spamming the pink chat.

I'm pretty sure that doesn't work in-game and you have to access server files to do it.

How are we going to get the juicy donations if we make it a one-time thing only?

 

The officer slot script sounds like a good idea tho

Isn't needed as names are usually given or if logbanned people usually comment the ban with who and why

Admins can't ban other admins unless something is enabled in the code and NRP has no need to enable it

This is something I know for a fact pew doesn't want, and I kinda agree with him.
When you say Auto-RP, what do you imply? How would we automate NRP's Roleplays? It's not as simple as forcing peace until a certain time like JB. Although i've thought about having a script that makes a message appear if you're a certain distance away from your Officer telling you to go back

The "automatic RP setup" could be as simple as displaying the rules in admin chat automatically, but I agree that it is basically all admins do and who is going to follow the rules just because a bot posted them when there is no admin on.

  • A list to select items from that's easier to access than the current one in the admin panel. (A dropdown would be nice)
  • Perhaps a better method of sorting through players when in spectator mode, to make slaying rambos easier.
  • A way to give items to certain players.
  • Also, it'd be nice to list the generic battle rp rules when people join the server in the welcome message or in the rules section of the menu instead of having to explain every time you change maps on low pop. Perhaps it could change with the rp like Tische said with automatic rp set-up?
  • It'd be nice to have selector tool that would allow you to slay people in a group on the battlefield.

All of your suggestions are good polo!

 

I would also like to see an "auto slay X tk's hits & X minute inactive players" functionality and a functionality that dm warns rambo's and slays them after X minute.

 

A good functionality would also be to have beacons switch to sergeants after the captain has been killed.

 

A somewhat harder and more controversial suggestion is to have auto set up RP's which can be run by the server itself; nothing beats a human touch but the reason the siege server's are so successful is that they dont require admins to work and can therefor be played on all the time.
